Pouring Rain

What's more interesting in a bike ride than heavy pouring of the rain? Seriously. It just HAD to be right when I wanted to try and do a 100 km. Only at the 1st km, it started to rain already. Lightning and thunder was playing like a song that you hate that keeps on repeating itself.

*Fun Fact about me: I'm scared of lighting. really scared. really REALLY scared! You want to know why? Because, the fact is that lightning strikes the tallest object on the area that it strikes. If you have an open field, it will go for the lonely tree stuck in the corner, right? Right, so the problem now is that, I'm always the tallest amongst my buddies or whoever I go out with. So yeah, this is stupid, I always thought that I'll be the one who is going to be nature's next victim :D I know it's silly, but it has never grown out of me.

Back to my attempt on 100km, it didn't happen. I was drenched under pouring rain with thunder and lightning right on top of me and not forgetting the one that stroke on a forested area nearby. A couple of traffic lights stopped functioning and I'm still cycling. I passed by Kranji MRT and decided to make a pit-stop. At this point of time, I have already cycled about 15km. Its still so far away from my goal. After about an hour waiting for the rain to stop and of course it did not, I decided to just go for it and head for Tiong Bahru and meet up with the guys. Upon reaching there, I didnt feel that I had enough, so I went ahead and cycled somemore going to Dempsey Rd to visit the guys at Hacienda.

It total that night, 61km + soaked up socks + broken back light worth $40 + hella of an experience.
