Post Surgery

My surgery 3 days ago went pretty well. The treatment I got from the nurses in SGH was amazing.

To Ward 76 of Singapore General Hospital: I would like to say thanks for the care I received during my short stay at the ward. You guys gave extra attention to the patients including me and I would like to express my greatest appreciation.

So by the way, the surgery took only an hour and it was over before I knew it. Anesthetics does amazing things to people. Like I kept asking the nurse the same question for three times without knowing until she told me about it. Hospital food is nothing to brag about. Fish Lemak Chili Padi with Vegetables and Papaya for desert. The taste was blend and saltless. Well, after all, it is called "Hospital Food".

Thanks to everyone that visited me. Without all of you, I would have felt lonely.

Now back at home, I have a huge bandage on my right knee and I have to take care of it. I can walk without crutches already. It is a good sign, plus they do make me walk very slow. Taking a shower is my least favorite thing to do in my daily routine. Let the picture do the talking:

Really makes me feel like a sandwich.
Bye for now, and yeah. Did I mention? I have 41 days of MC!!!

Ride of Silence (Singapore)

Since tomorrow will be my surgery, I decided to utilize my legs and join the "Ride of Silence". I cycled to Sengkang to meet a fellow biker and also to buy a helmet then met with the rest at Merlion Park.
The ride of silence, wasn't very silent indeed. Riding under 20 km/h, we were really hogging the road. It is for a good reason, showing people that there are cyclist on the road. MANY of them. We HAVE the rights on the road. Do you know that bicycles are considered vehicles? We are not motor vehichles, but we are classified as one and that shows that we have the rights. Occupying the whole lane, cars tend to drive past us w/o honking. Only the BUSES and TAXI drivers were the noisy ones. It just shows how much drivers do not dare do anything when outnumbered.
From Woodlands > Yishun > Ang Mo Kio > Sengkang > Hougang > Serangoon > Lavender and finally Merlion park. Chilled out and wait for the ride to start. They break us into groups of 20 as not to over poppulate the roads. 19 km ride, passing by places in town at 13-16 km/h, it was an enjoyable ride. Slow and steady, but at some point, I was tempted to just leave the ride as it was kinda bring. Lemme rephrase, the ride around town was enjoyable but the Ride itself was boring. At the speed we were going, I might aswell jog. Oops, but of course, that would defeat the purpose. After completing the ride, we headed to Lavender food centre to have dinner and some rest. I broke off with the rest at hougang and went a seperate route back to Woodlands.
I made a pit-stop at Yishun and reallised the my hands were shaking. But my mental was still strong. I arrived back home at 12am and took a look at my speedo-meter:

Total distance - 86.6 km
Average Speed - 20 km/h
Top Speed - 51 km/h

Rota One!!
a new member has joined my Rota. Leslie is his name. If George is Lao Lao Jao, Im Lao Jao. Leslie is Lan Ciao. Newbird means less work for me.

-----------------------------

ok, btw, $3000 more to go for my DSLR. I have with me now $900 and trying to save $500 every month. Prive is killing me now. They are cutting the hours short closing an hour earlier each day. Its good news to some as it means more rest. Bad news for me as it means, less hours = less pay. Next week schedule shows that I will only be able to clock 20 hours in a week. I use to do 70-80 hours in 2 weeks. So what should I do? resign? hmmmm, maybe. I do plan to go to Hacienda, a sister company. I heard they have better staff meal and also, the closing time remains like before. But what do you know, if I do go there, the next thing is they start doing the same sh*t.

Sembawang Beach

I had a turnout at Sembawang Beach of a drowning incident a few days ago. Dart divers were deployed for the search and rescue. Cant give you guys much details on the incident. But I am able to share some shots I took of the pre-rescue operation.
